Kildare GAA and the Limerick Strike

Kildare Co. Committee

Mr. J. J. Fitzgerald, Chairman presided at a meeting of the Co. Committee of the G.A.A. held at Kildare on Tuesday evening the principal business on the agenda being the selection of teams to take part in what should be a splendid trial match on Sunday next between the Co. Team and the rest of the Co.

After the merits of the different players had been minutely discussed it was decided that the arrangements of the teams should be:-

County Team – L. Cribbin (goal), J. Connor, J. Moran, J. Keely, M. Buckley, J. Conlan, T. Goulding, C. Connolly, M. Sammon, C. Flynn, B. McGlade, , L. Stanley, T. O’Brien, Jas. O’Connor, P. Flynn.

Rest of Co. – P. Walsh (goal), M. Keely, M. Heavey, T. Cribbin, J. Melia, P. Healy, P. Grady, O. Tyrell, W. Geary, P. Doyle, P. Garrett, M. Kelly, J. Burke, C. Rourke, W. Burke.

Subs – J. Tyrell, P. Leahy, G. Higgins, J. Slevin, J. Twitchen, – O’Neill (Clane).
