IRISH CIVIL RECORDS INDEXES ONLINE

Great news for genealogists and researchers alike. The Irish Government have released the indexes to Irish Civil records which in some cases include records up to and including 2012. After a very brief look at the site it appears to offer much more controlled access to a greater number of records than other sites previously and after a couple of trial and error searches it produced valuable information. Congratulations to all involved.

Please see http://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/ for details. Also – look at the help section or information provided which explains how the site works and the type of records available. Search for something you know should be there before you look for possible ancestors to allow you gain an understanding of the site.
