Ballitore Death

Mr. Edward Kelly, who died at his home in Dublin recently at the age of 78, was a native of Moone. As a member of the Irish Army, he was chiefly instrumental in repulsing an attack on Tullow barracks by the Irregulars during the Civil War, and for his action was immediately promoted lieutenant. He is survived by his wife, Mamie, his sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Judge, and his brothers, Tom and Michael. He was interred in Moone Cemetery with full military honours provided by a contingent from the Curragh Camp.
