Obituary

Mr. A. C. Rose, late of Ballyfair, Curragh

Mr. Arthur Charles Rose, who died recently in Sydney, Australia, was native of Ballyfair, The Curragh. As a young man he served in the Irish Army and as a boxer was Army welterweight champion. He served with the British Navy during World War II. After discharged from the Navy he joined the Australian Navy. Later, on leaving the Navy, he went into business in Sydney.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy; sons, Terence and Tony, and daughter, Sharon. He was brother of Alfred Juderick and William Rose (all in England) and of Mrs. Bridie Hayden, Mrs. Annie Groome, Mrs. Emily de Bonis, Mrs. Margaret Murphy and Mrs. Kathleen Arnold (all in England).
