Annual Seminar and AGM

AGM will be held on Saturday week 12th October in Kilcullen Town Hall. The cost is €15.00 including lunch. The Agenda is as follows:-

9.30 – 9.45 Registration – please let us know at Registration if you are staying for lunch

9.45 – 11 Report from a member of each Society

11 – 11.30 Election of Officers (only members may vote)

11.30-12 Tea/Coffee

12 – 1 pm 1913 Lockout Presentation (questions and answer session included) by Pádraig Yeates, former Irish Times industry and employment correspondent. Author of Lockout: Dublin 1913; project manager of the Irish 1913 Committee.

Pádraig will deliver a lecture on the Dublin Lockout of 1913. During this epic struggle an estimated 100,000 people, one third of the capital’s inhabitants, faced starvation for five months in a battle for workers’ rights.

This talk is open to the public. All are welcome for tea at 11.30.

Lunch – Fallons

Non-members are welcome to attend the opening sessions and the presentation but would not be able to participate in the official business of the AGM and elections from 11 – 11.30 a.m.
