Kildare County Library

Kildare County Council has a network of 15 branch libraries throughout out the county. There is also a Mobile Library Service, a Local Studies and Genealogy Service and the County Archives.

Arts Service

  Kildare County Council Arts services provides advice, information and support services for the Arts in Kildare and it encourages participation in the arts as maker, participant, and audience

It has Artists in Residence programmes, commissions new work and manages grant aid and other arts award opportunities.

Readers' Pages

 Kildare County Library also has Readers' Pages for Adults, Teens, Children and Teachers.
It has Special Collections and Partnerships including Toys, Technology and Training (TTT).
The library has also published a number of books by local writers and related to the county.

Local Studies, Genealogy, and Archives

 

The Kildare Local Studies Department has a collection of books, periodicals, maps, photographs and newspapers relating to all aspects of County Kildare.

It contains an extensive collection of primary and secondary resources and a reading room with research facilities.

The Genealogy Department provides a professional genealogical research service to identify, collect and record historical and genealogical information relating to Co. Kildare.

Archives
The County Archive is located at Riverbank, Main St. Newbridge, County Kildare.
