Kildare County Council's Waterworks Department has responsibility for the management, maintenance and operation of the public water supplies in County Kildare except for the Town Councils of Naas and Athy.
The main activities undertaken are the purchase/production and distribution of drinking water, the maintenance of distribution systems and assets (including the repair of bursts and leaks), the provision of new metered and non-metered connections, and the preparation of reports on all planning applications.
The Waterworks office is based in Newbridge, Co Kildare.
