Deputy Michael Fitzpatrick T.D. would like to advise all the teenagers and parents of teenagers of a very welcome new development just launched by Barry Andrews T.D. Minister for Children & Youth Affairs.
A website which provides information about activities and facilities for teenagers all over the country has been launched. www.teenspace.ie will provide information on gigs, cafes, sport, arts, outdoor activities and much, much more. You can check for things to do and you find clubs to join.
“This development was one of the top recommendations from Dail na nOg 2006/07, said Deputy Fitzpatrick, and the timing of the launch could not be better, the summer holidays are here and this website will make it easier for young people to get information on recreational opportunities and events in each county.”
This Government is committed to listening to children and young people and taking their concerns seriously, the creation of www.teenspace.ie is further evidence of this commitment, added Deputy Fitzpatrick.
All service providers are urged to register to promote their activities or clubs. Registration is free.
