The President of Ireland, Mary McAleese officially launched the Road Safety Authority’s new Rules of the Road website, www.rulesoftheroad.ie, on 9th July 2008, at Farmleigh, Phoenix Park. The new website provides an interactive version of the Rules of the Road in English, as well as foreign language translations of the Rules of the Road, catering for non-Irish road-users.
Translations of the Rules of the Road in Irish, Chinese Mandarin, Russian and Polish are available to download from the website, as well as an English language audio version of the rules. In addition, the Road Safety Authority has produced e-booklets of the foreign language translations which are available with the audio version on CD-ROM to meet the needs of those with reading difficulties.
