FADA Presents Eddie Hobbs in Newbridge

FADA is a new Community Group formed to respond to growing concerns over increasing Energy Prices and Climate Change.

Eddie HobbsThey are inviting County Kildare Communities to attend  a talk by Eddie Hobbs entitled "When the Oil runs out; preparing Our Community for the Change" on November 14th 2007 at Ryston Social Club, in Newbridge.

Eddie will demonstrate the size of the challenge that faces us all in the near future, and how we might respond as individuals and households.

Practically every area of life will be affected in some way: work, transport, food, education, leisure, etc. and so a response must also happen at Community level, from the Community itself.

The following Saturday, 17th November, there will be a “Community Brainstorming Event” at the same venue.

This event will use a well-proven format, adopted from business, called an
“Open Space Event” where the participants generate practical projects that will help our community prepare for the challenges that diminishing energy supplies will bring.
