TG4 To Screen Punchestown Festival Preview

punchestown-logo TG4 will screen a preview of the Punchestown Irish National Hunt Racing Festival on Saturday 21st April at 9.30pm. The preview features visits to the stables of Willie Mullins (Hurricane Fly and Quevega) and Robbie Hennessy (Rubi Light) and will examine Davy Russell’s quest to win a first ever jockey’s title as the National Hunt season reaches a climax at the festival. The magazine style preview will also have a feature on the history of Punchestown and take a look at the latest fashion looks ahead of the festival.

“The Punchestown Festival is one of the highlights of the Irish sporting and social calendar and TG4 are delighted to provide racing fans with a look ahead to one of the biggest racing occasions of the year. This follows on from our very successful Cheltenham festival preview which attracted almost 100,000 viewers” said Rónán O’Coisdealbha, Head of Sport, TG4.

The magazine style preview is presented by Denis Kirwan and the betting view is provided by Leon Blanche from Boylesports. The preview programme is produced by Touchline Media, who regularly produce racing festival preview programmes for Irish television stations.

The programme will also be repeated on Sunday 22nd April at 11am.
