Jap Fest debuts for Custom Van and Cyber EVO IX

Mondello Park LogoThe line up for Irelands first Jap-Fest, on September 9th at Mondello Park, continues to grow with the announcement of two more firsts. Not only will the show feature the best of Irish Jap cars but it will now also include the first ever appearance in this country of a Japanese Custom Van and the the first ever overseas competitor in an Irish Time Attack event.

The feature Time Attack car will be brought to Ireland by the UK's leading Japanese Performance specialists parts suppliers, GT Culture. The 450+ bhp Mitsubishi Evo IX was built in Japan and following some strong performances in testing it is set to make a big impression on the UK Time Attack scene. GT Culture will bring the car to Mondello for the first time and it will take pride of place among the paddock displays as well as taking on the local competitors on track in the Time Attack sessions.

The latest Japanese customising craze takes humble Japanese vans and "pimps" them with wildest body kits, paint jobs and interiors, that have to be seen to be believed. Jap-Fest will showcase the first of these uniquely styled vans to be seen in Ireland and the vans outrageous body kit and interior is bound to make a big impression.

The unique Jap-Fest format has proved to be a major attraction for Irish car clubs with the Subaru owners club being the first to commit to having their annual get together at the event. Jap-Fest will therefore be a must for fans of the highly popular japanese make as the club will put on a display of over fifty cars making this the biggest ever gathering of Subaru's at an Irish show.

A show and shine competition has also been added to the line-up and entries for this are available through the Mondello Park offices or on the Mondello Park web site. Further show announcements are expected over the coming weeks.
