Dunmurry Springs to New Level with Clubhouse Opening

Tee 12 at Dunmurry Springs Dunmurry Springs Golf Club, just outside Kildare Town, is set to  stir things up with the opening of its new Clubhouse this month.

Through an innovative fundingarrangement between the club members and the bank, the funding was secured last October and work started almost immediately.

This young enterprising club are now looking forward to what they hope will be their best year yet.

The funding arrangement initiated by the club’s owner Simon Holohan, allowed the members to pay a number of years subscriptions in advance and thereby obtain a substantial discount on their regular annual subscription.  With 50% funding secured from the members, the bank then agreed to provide the balance of the funding required to complete the project.

“By thinking outside the box we are now in a great position that we can grow our business this year and also offer the golfing community a new venue to golf and socialise” Holohan
says.

The new facilities will include a bar/restaurant, reception, changing rooms, offices and ancillary facilities.  The work was completed over the past three months by the renowned fit-out company Glennwood in Tullamore and has come in on-time and on-budget.

Opened in May 2006, this Mel Flanagan designed course is already recognised as a fantastic year round golf course.  In 2005 Dunmurry Springs was awarded the accolade of one of the top ten new courses in Europe by the US magazine ‘The Golfer’.  Since then the course has received numerous further awards including a HSDC Silver medal.  Now with the addition of a modern new clubhouse those looking for plenty of bang for their buck will be hard pressed to find better than Dunmurry Springs.  Golf enthusiasts are always looking for the best quality and value for money.
