All Ladies go Free at the Curragh Races 29th August


Ladies will take centre stage at the Curragh races on Sunday 29th August and to celebrate, the Curragh is offering free admission to all female race goers.

The Moyglare Stud Stakes, one of Ireland’s top races for fillies, will be the highlight on the track, while Moyglare Stud has joined forces with Newbridge Silverware for the inaugural “Search for a Style Icon” competition.  The winning lady will received a €5k gift voucher redeemable in the Newbridge Silverware Showrooms as well as an exquisite piece from the Newbridge Silverware Vintage Collection.

The style icon judging panel will included the 2010 Rose of Tralee, for her very first official appearance.

The Kildare v Down game will be shown on screens through the racecourse and to encourage people to watch the game and enjoy great racing, admission has also been reduced to €10, Under 25s and Seniors will be €5 and children under 16 free, while of course all ladies will enjoy free admission.

Evan Arkwright, Commercial Manager of the Curragh commented, “We are looking forward to what promises to be an exciting day and would especially encourage anyone who haven’t a ticket for Croke Park to come and watch the match here and enjoy great racing and entertainment for all the family”

Other races featuring on an high quality programme include the Goffs Flying Five (Group 3), with Ireland’s leading bloodstock sales company supporting the top sprint contest for the first time, while the Go and Go Round Tower Stakes (Group 3) and Dance Design Stakes (Group 3) are other notable races taking place.
