Turtle Bunbury and photographer James Fennell are preparing to start on the next volume of their Vanishing Ireland series, chronicling the life stories of men and women of senior vintage, ideally in their 80s, 90s or 100s, who were perhaps involved with a trade or way of life that has now gone or is on the way out or is perhaps being reinvented in a 21st century manner.
In the first two volumes they sought people with a spark of life or sense of humour or a solid grasp of history or who can simply inspire us younger pups with their energy. They are also keen on those whose houses or workplaces still remain much the same as they would have been half a century ago.
If you know of any suitable characters to consider for Co.Kildare, please let them know.
