Easter Froggy Fun Camp

common frog The Common frog is one of Ireland's three amphibian species.  At this time of year the common frog has just laid their spawn in freshwater habitats around Ireland.  If you are looking for a fun  and active learning camp for your child during the Easter holidays then why not come along to the Bog of Allen Nature Centre on Thursday 5th April as IPCC will be holding their annual Easter Froggy Fun Camp. 

The participants will do a pond dipping session identIfying the variety of freshwater mini beasts in a pond, they will explore the insect eating plants of Ireland and around the world, they will search for the adult frogs in the wildlife gardens of the Bog of Allen Nature Centre and make a nature craft.  This fun camp will be held from 10am-1pm and is suitable for participants aged 7-13 years old. 

Booking is essential by calling the Bog of Allen Nature Centre on 045-860133 or e-mail bogs@ipcc.ie.  The cost of the fun camp is €15/participant and there are limited spaces available so book early to avoid disappointment.


The Bog of Allen Nature Centre is run by the Irish Peatland Conservation Council, a charity that aims to conserve a representative portion of Irish peatlands for future generations to enjoy.
