Local Fianna Fail TD, Áine Brady has welcomed funding for Kildare animal welfare organisations.

Funding is made to animal welfare organisations to assist in their work during 2009.”

“These organisations do excellent and vital work throughout the year rescuing, rehabilitating and providing new homes for neglected animals.”

“I am delighted that they will receive this very necessary funding to support them in their work as it often animal welfare organisations who to respond to emergency situations.”

“I know that these organisations will be especially busy after Christmas so I would appeal to any families thinking of buying pets for Christmas to think twice about it. A cat or dog is a big responsibility and adding a pet to the family takes careful planning.”

“I would like to thank the employees and volunteers of Kildare animal welfare organisations for their great work all year round,” concluded Deputy Brady.
