Leixlip Town Council invites nominations for its annual Civic Awards.
The nomination may be for someone who is a good neighbour, someone who works hard in a voluntary capacity, or someone who excelled at sport.
There are six categories:
- cultural,
- sporting,
- young person,
- social,
- business and
- non-resident.
The award scheme is to promote and foster a community spirit in Leixlip. The purpose of the awards is to recognise and honour a contribution to the community in Leixlip and/or exceptional achievement in any of the categories.
The town council will host a civic awards night on 16 May 2008 in Leixlip House Hotel.

Nominations must be returned to the Town Clerk, Ann Heffernan, Newtown House, Captain’s Hill, Leixlip on or before 18 April 2008.
