Kildare Libraries' September Competition

 

britannica To enter the competition all you have to do is find the answers to three questions using Encyclopedia Britannica Online.

Kildare Library and Arts Service has launched the Encyclopedia Britannica Competition to encourage people to use the Encyclopedia online. The competition will run from 1st to 27th September 2008.

Encyclopedia Britannica Online is available through Kildare Library & Arts Service's Website and allows users to access over 118.000 articles, which are updated daily.

Encyclopedia Britannica is the oldest continuously published reference work in the english language and the printed version has always been a firm favourite. Now, as with many other reference publications, it is available in a much-expanded online version.

Library users can either enter the competition by picking up Entry Forms from Naas, Newbridge, Athy, Leixlip, Celbridge or Maynooth Libraries. There are two versions available, one for age 18 years and over and one for children over 18 years. To enter the competition all you have to do is find the answers to three questions using Encyclopedia Britannica Online.

If your answers are correct, your name will be entered into the prize draw.First prize for age 18 and over is the Encyclopedia Britannica 2008 Ultimate Reference DVD,and the second prize is the Britannica Concise Encyclopedia-single volume. First prize in the children's competition is the Children's Encyclopedia Britannica 2008 on DVD and second prize is the Britannica Learning library-single volume.

Closing date is Saturday 27th September 2008.Winners will be notified by telephone.
