Invitation to Tender for Research on Social Inclusion Needs of Prisoners

 

 

Kildare Community Partnership invites suitably qualified and experienced individuals, organisations or agencies to tender for action research aimed at exploring the social inclusion needs of prisoners, ex-prisoners and their families.

Background and structure

Kildare Community Partnership in partnership with South Western Regional Drugs Task Force, Kildare County Council and additional social inclusion organisations working in the Kildare area have come together to develop an action research project into the social inclusion needs of prisoners, ex-prisoners and their families. The specific objectives of the research are:

(a) To identify obstacles facing prisoners, ex-prisoners and their families which prevent them from moving forward. The research will explore the social inclusion needs of this diverse group (e.g. drug users; ethnic minorities (including Travellers); the homeless etc.

(b) To research models of good practice in responding to the needs of this target group and make clear recommendations appropriate to the development of responses in County Kildare.
