Kildare County Council will hold pre-planning information meetings, for prospective applicants’ for a house at rural locations in the county or other small-scale development in 2009.
In addition to the clinics held in Aras Chill Dara it is proposed to introduce pre-planning information meetings in Clane and Athy as part of their Out Reach Service, to facilitate prospective applicants within the Clane and Athy electoral areas.

All meetings will be held at 15 minute intervals between 9.30 and 1.00 pm.
This will give an opportunity for interested parties to meet a relevant planner or other senior official who can advise them in broad terms about their proposal. Prospective applicants attending a pre-planning meeting should bring the following documentation:
- Site location map
- Sketch design of proposal
- Photographs of the site
It is important to note that individual sites cannot be inspected in advance of the information meeting.
The information meetings are particularly appropriate for prospective applications for houses in rural areas of the county, where Kildare County Council’s Rural Housing Policy applies (Chapter 6 of Kildare County Development Plan 2005).
