Fianna Fail selects Clane candidates for local elections

Fianna Fail has selected three candidates to contest the up-coming local elections for Kildare County Council from the Clane LEA.

Sitting Councillors Liam Doyle and Darragh Fitzpatrick will be joined by PJ Sheridan.

Councillor Liam Doyle was first elected to Kildare County Council in 1985. He is a member of the Finance Committee and the Enterprise Board. Councillor Doyle is also a member of his local GAA club in Kilcock.

Councillor Darragh Fitzpatrick is a local Bookmaker who was co-opted on to Kildare County Council following the election of his father Michael to Dail Eireann in June 2007. Councillor Fitzpatrick is Chair of Rural Water Monitoring Committee. He is also a member of the Housing SPC and Kildare VEC.

PJ Sheridan is a former Councillor and former Mayor and was one of the first people nominated to the County Enterprise Board. He also served for 30 years on the Community Council which is a local voluntary organisation that looks after community affairs. PJ is also involved with the Senior Citizen’s Day Care Centre in Clane.
