An Taoiseach Enda Kenny today (1st March 20130) launched the Newbridge Grassroots Festival at the Curragh Racecourse.
Born out of last year's extremely successful Newbridge 200 celebrations led by Newbridge Chamber, this September Festival will now be a feature of the Newbridge community calendar.
The Newbridge Grassroots Festival will have a different theme each year, commencing with 'The Gathering' for 2013, 'Dan Donnelly' for 2014, 'The Horse' for 2015 and 'The Soldier' in 2016.
It will be a four-day event from 12th - 15th September 2013. An Taoiseach complimented the voluntary committee which is already working hard to deliver an action packed programme, saying it provides another great reason to gather in County Kildare this year!
