€166k approved for Kildare Voluntary and Community Groups

Over €160,000 is being allocated to 26 voluntary and community groups in Kildare which provide a wide range of marriage, child and bereavement counselling services and supports according to Local TD and Minister of State, Aine Brady.

'A  wide variety of organisations in Kildare, from counselling bodies to schools operating Rainbows groups for children, to locally-based bereavement support groups, is receiving funding to support their communities and families in these difficult times.' stated Minister Brady.

'Groups, such as Rainbows in Maynooth and Celbridge, Kildare Youth Services and Kildare Suicide Services in Naas are typical of the groups that will benefit from the funding.'

"The services which are supported by these grants promote stable family relationships and the well-being of individuals, children and society in general. I want to encourage people to avail of these professional supports which are available in their own communities to help them through these difficult times and also I want to compliment those involved in providing these services locally.", said Minister Brady.
