The Business of Climate Change

Joe Afolayan, MBA, Chief Executive Officer of Trade Development Centre (TDC), Fellow, Salzburg Global Seminar, Austria and 2007 Attendee of the Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Business at the University of Cambridge, UK will be facilitating a seminar and networking evening at the Athy Library, Athy, Co. Kildare on Tuesday, 18 December 2007 from 6pm. The theme of the evening seminar is The Business of Climate Change.

Climate change is among the greatest challenges of our time. When dealing with the sustainability issue of climate change, most individuals, corporations and governmental and non-governmental organizations tend to focus on environmental remedies of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, more use of renewable energy and the reversal of the decline of biodiversity. The purpose of this session is to focus on identifying business opportunities in the sustainability challenge of climate change.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for Trade Development Centre (TDC) and for me personally,” said Afolayan. “I am highly honoured to share how Kildare organizations can extract sustainable value from climate change and to learn from the experience of others.”

This seminar - which will be of particular interest to various business groups in the surrounding region - will be held in Athy Library on Tuesday 18th December, beginning at 6 PM.
