A good news story for Naas!
Fair Trade Ireland has awarded Naas, ‘Fair Trade Status!’
We, the ‘Naas Fair Trade Committee’ would like to thank all the schools, cafés, restaurants, retailers, offices and especially you, the people of Naas for supporting Fair Trade in our town and beyond. By supporting Fair Trade you are supporting jobs and giving people hope for a brighter future for people in developing countries.
Fair Trade Fortnight started on February 27th and ends on March 11th and our theme for this year is, ‘Take a step for Fair Trade’, so why not take a step and join us at 3pm in the Town Hall, Naas, (this is however limited to numbers, so come early!),and help us celebrate our new found status and hear the story from our guest speaker, Samantha Valluri from Hyderabad, India as she relates her story as to how Fair Trade has helped the lives of people in her community and beyond.
