Writers - Have Your Say!

Aspiring and established writers to have their say.

Would you like to give a spoken voice to the ideas you commit to paper, share your poetry, tell your stories? If so why not come along to the open mic in Johnson’s (The Liffey Arms) pub in Newbridge on Wednesday 10 June at 8 pm.

This event is hosted by Clane writers and organised by Marie Gallagher who lives in Newbridge. The event will be run on a first come first served basis so get there early and get your name down to read. Everyone is welcome, most especially anyone young or old who would like to read from their own work.

‘It’s a great opportunity for writers who work for the most part alone to share their work with others,’ said Marie Gallagher.

‘We’d love to hear from new people who are writing and would like to share their work as well as more established writers,’ said Rita Crampton of Clane writers who is doing MC on the night.

‘One of our members read from her work at an open mic we attended in Longford and was approached afterwards by a Dublin agency to submit the piece to an anthology ‘Census’ which was published last November by the Seven Towers Agency.’

So come along enjoy the readings and you never know what might happen!
