Ireland's Largest Music Festival Oxegen Rolls Into Kildare

NewOrder001tn.jpgBilled as "The Greatest Rock n Roll Weekend of the Year", Oxegen 2007 will take place in Punchestown, County Kildare this weekend.

Many of the world's biggest acts including The Killers, Muse, Queens of the Stone Age, Snow Patrol, Arcade Fire, Kings of Leon, and Bloc Party will perform on six stages beginning on Saturday 7th July at 1230pm and finishing late on Sunday evening 8th July. The festival is completely sold out.

Main Stage: Muse, Snow Patrol, Scissor Sisters, Kings Of Leon, The Fratellis, The Goo Goo Dolls, and Avril Lavigne.

Stage 2: Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Interpol, Maximo Park, Mika, The Gossip,
Biffy Clyro, and The Twang

Green Room: Queens Of The Stone Age, Editors, Jet, Ocean Colour Scene, Enter Shikari, The Bravery and The Maccabees

Pet Sounds: Wutang Clan, Air, Tori Amos, Badly Drawn Boy, Brian Jonestown Massacre, and David Kitt

New Band/Futures: I'm From Barcelona, The Noisettes, Junior Boys, The Horrors, and The Wombats

Dance Stage: Felix Da Housecat, 2 Many Dj's, Tiga, Booka Shade, Justice, Digitalism
Laughter Lounge: Joe Rooney, Michael Mee, Carol Tobin, Jarlath Regan, Colum Mcdonnell, Robbie Bonham and John Lynn

Stage 2: Daftpunk, My Chemical Romance, Amy Winehouse, Babyshambles, CSS, and
Gogol Bordello

Green Room
: James, Klaxons, Jamie T, Satellite Party, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Dizzie Rascal, and Long Blondes

Pet Sounds: Brian Wilson, Rufus Wainwright, Bright Eyes, Cold War Kids, Sinead O'Connor, and Albert Hammond Jr

New Band/Futures: The Sounds, The National, The Hours, New Young Pony Club, Jason Mraz, Howling Bells, Air Traffic, and Ghosts

Dance Stage: Erol Alkan, Deep Dish, Frankie Knuckles, Dj Shadow V Cost Cutchemist, and Cedric

Laughter Lounge: David Mcsavage, Sue Collins, Reuben, Damien Clarke, Anne Gildea, Kevin Gildea, and Andrew Stanley

Irish acts performing at the festival include Director, Delorentos, The Blizzards, The Sawdoctors and The Thrills.

Two Kildare bands will also perform at the festival, having won the Platform II, Oxegen '07 Battle of the Bands competition in association with Naas Town Council and MCD

My OK Hotel will perform at 1pm on Saturday 7th July on the New Band/Futures stage.
Miracle Bell will perform at 12 noon on Sunday 8th July on the New Band/Futures stage. Check the Oxegen website for exact times.
