Since moving to the UK from Dublin singer-songwriter Christine Tobin has gained a reputation as one of the most innovative and versatile artists on the jazz scene. A musical free spirit, Christine has broken down genres to create her own unique style that is romantic, radical, streetwise and eclectic. Christine’s distinctive expression has led to her being described as the ‘Björk of Euro jazz’ and, in 2008, she was hailed as the BBC Jazz Vocalist of the year.
Much of her music is self-penned and Tobin has received many accolades for her skills as composer, arranger and lyricist, as well as for her vivid interpretations of the music of others.
