The KWWSPCA Shelter Open Day is on Sunday, 18 August from 12.00 noon - 4.00pm and everyone is welcome.
KWWSPCA would prefer people not to bring their own dogs as they don't want to upset the rescue dogs that are living at the Shelter at the moment.
KWWSPCA are looking for donations of home make cakes and biscuits, etc., for the cake stall and bottles and jars (full ones!) for the bottle stall, if anyone would like to contribute.
Free admission and plenty of free parking. As well as meeting some of the dogs in the care of the KWWSPCA and some of its kittens, who will be playing in Colleen's Kitty Cottage, there will be lots of other activities for adults and children.
In their house, there will be a massive Book Sale as well as a Pop Up Shop for Designer and High End ladies' fashions, many items are new or as good as new.
In their annex, you will be able to buy teas and light refreshments and there will be face painting for the children (and likeminded adults!).
There will be a barbecue and music by Catherine Coates in the garden.
In their barn, we will have Noah's Ark, selling a wide range of interesting items that have been donated to the Society, including jewellery, gifts, small household items, novelties and lots of other nice things. There will also be stalls selling items for your pet, including a varied selection of dog beds at very reasonable prices.
The KWWSPCA Community Cat Carer Unit will have a stall, as will our Artist and Animal Welfare Officer, Shauna, who will be taking commissions for pet portraits.
And 'Gracie's Blog', the full version, will be launched that day and Gracie will be there for the book signing!
There will also be a Cake Stall, a Bottle Stall, a Tombola stall and a Teddy Adoption Stall.
There will be games organised for the children in the field and also a children's colouring competition.
As well as all this, there will be a chance to discuss the work of the KWWSPCA with our Volunteer Animal Welfare Officers.
So please come along and enjoy the afternoon with the KWWSPCA.
All the money raised will go towards our Shelter Appeal Fund.
KWWSPCA are all volunteers. They have no paid employees, and your support is vital and much appreciated.
The KWWSPCA Animal Shelter is located a few kilometres outside Athgarvan on the road towards Twomilehouse.
