Kildare Local Community Development Committee (LCDC)

Kildare Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) was established in 2014. LCDCs are established in all Local Authorities and are part of Local Government Reform. We have a key function to achieve joined up approaches to local and community development.

The following programmes are operated by the Kildare LCDC

• Local Economic and Community Plan (LECP)
  In 2015 all Local Authorities are required to produce a six year Local Economic and Community Plan (LECP) 2016-2021. Kildare LECP will be the economic and community plan for the county.
• Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP)
  SICAP is the new national social inclusion programme 2015-2017.
• Kildare Public Participation Network (PPN)
  The Kildare PPN is a new framework for communities to connect with local authorities through public engagement and participation.
• Rural Development Programme (RDP)
  The next Rural Development Programme (RDP) will commence in 2015.
