The Breadwinner is an award-winning  film by leading Irish animation studio Cartoon Saloon, directed by Nora Twomey and executive produced by Mimi Polk Gitlin and Angelina Jolie

Based on the bestselling novel by Deborah Ellis, The Breadwinner follows the empowering story of a young girl in Afghanistan. Parvana is an 11-year-old girl who lives under Taliban rule in Afghanistan in 2001.
