August Bank Holiday Weekend – Killala, Co.Mayo

August Bank holiday in Killala proved to be one of the best diving weekends this season for the Naas SAC members. Diving out of Lacken Pier left us in easy striking distance of both Dun Briste/Downpatrick Head and Killcummin Head which supplied some fantastic diving with 15 – 20m viz. Many thanks to Tanya Murphy who gave us plenty of information on all the top dive sites and great food from her restaurant, the Open Door on the Friday evening when we arrived in town. Many thanks also to Alice O’Sullivan, our DO for all her research and planning which made it such a successful diving weekend. While it’s a first for the club I’m sure Killala will be on the 2017 dive schedule!
