In the preceding days the 2015 May bank holiday diving was looking very bleak with high winds and monsoon rains forecast but Castletownbere proved a good choice for early season diving. It did not fail to deliver great diving in sheltered dive sites which allowed us to get the full 5 x dives planned for the weekend. Carrigavaddra, Lonehort Pt. and inside Ardnakinna Pt. supplied some great diving in a range of depths to 30m. While sea life may have been sparse at times there was species such as Monkfish, Ballon Wrasse and Conger Eels spotted. We headed out with a full boat of divers each morning and safely completed 65 x dives over the weekend. A very enjoyable weekends scuba diving 🙂
