In 2006 the organisation incorporated as a company limited by guarantee with charitable status. The following agencies are represented in either a Director or membership capacity: HSE, Kildare Youth Services, Kildare Community Partnership, VEC, Dept of Social and Family Affairs, Athy Travellers Support Group.
The group runs a number of projects and activities including women’s development courses, research projects, dealing with the media, working with state agencies to improve services in such areas as Traveller accommodation, health, education etc.

Kildare Traveller Action is a voluntary organisation committed to the development of the Traveller Community in County Kildare.  It was formed as Kildare Traveller Network in 2000 and is a partnership of Travellers and Settled people.
