Later on in the year, your child will get simple homework to do. When helping her, if you are getting cross, STOP!
While it is important that you help your child with homework. Never do it for her.
Homework for Junior Infants consists of practising words in their "Word Box" and "Sound Box". Children will commence their readers at a later stage in the year.
Senior Infants receive" Word Lists" and parents are expected to reinforce the work that the child is currently doing in school. Readers and workbooks follow accordingly. After Christmas simple homework sheets in other subjects are allocated.
First Class children have a "Homework Journal". Parents are requested to check and sign their written work and to see that the work allocated is carried out.
