Kilcock Celtic 2

Kynog United played host to Kilcock Celtic in the U15 Girls division in Kynog Park last Saturday. In the early stages both teams were evenly matched with Laura Ward defending well for Kilcock as Kate Drennan and Catherine Fallon threatened to open the scoring. However it was the visitors through Colleen O Neill who found the back of the net past Micheala Ennis in the 9th minute. Kynog responded and were rewarded with a well worked goal finished off by Catherine Fallon. Shortly before half time the impressive Keeva Tracey deservedly got on the score sheet after receiving a pass from Megan Dee and finding the corner of the net. Half time arrived with the hosts winning 2-1 . The second half saw Kilcock on the attack in the early stages  Eve Powderly and Emma Maguire were playing well and it wasnt long before Kilcock equalised with Ellen O Neill finishing off well. Aisling Craig was covering a lot of ground linking up well with Megan Dee.The remainder of the game saw both teams going in search of a winner but a combinationof good goalkeeping and fine defending from both sides kept the scoreline 2-2 at full time. The match was played in a good spirit and all players thoroughly enjoyed the game.
