Kynog United Youths V Naas United

Naas United ran out convincing winners despite a good second half performance from the home team. The visitors opened the scoring in the 15th minute through Tom Hayes who found space in the home defence before beating Blaine Treacy. Kynog responded with both Ciaron Baselmans and Alan Kirwan shooting narrowly over. Naas had the game sewn up following a 15 minute spell that included a Jamie Boyd hat-trick and a brace from Jamie Rogers. Half time saw Kynog introduce Ross Maher, Sean Flynn and Evan Treacy. Kynog scored in the 49th minute following a Shane Merriman cross well finished by Ciaran Waters. Axel Ntumba increased the scoring for Naas with a header following a corner. Jamie Rogers completed his hat-trick in the 63rd minute as he finished from close range. Further goals followed from Tom Hayes and Mark Sherry before Wallace Da Silva completed the days scoring with a great strike from 30 yards. The home team were best served by Ciaran Waters, Sean Flynn and Eoin O Reilly.
