Kynog Utd 4 – 2 Newbridge Town

Kynog opened strongly moving the ball well and they deservedly took the lead through Joshua Lee. Newbridge were finding it hard to break out but a rare attack brought a great save out of Kynog keeper Thomas Fallon. Kynog were well on top with Josh Harris creating chance after chance and they finally extended their lead with a second goal from Lee and one from Shane O’Connor to take a 3 goal lead into half-time. Newbridge, with Phelim Scanlon playing well in midfield, pulled one back through Jack Lee-Parnell only for Kynog to increase the lead to 3 again. With only minutes to go, Newbridge pulled a goal back through a deflected Lee-Parnell shot, leaving the final score 4-2 to Kynog.
