Minutes later Evan Dempsey had his attempt bravely saved by Cain Brereton Towns U12 teams shot stopper. Kynog continued to pile on the pressure and a  Kevin O Brien free kick beat the visitors defence for Evan Treacy to lob the advancing keeper in the 13th minute. Two minutes later David Hayes scored his second for the home team. Edenderry were starting to win more possession and Brian Mc Grath had to be alert in the Kynog goal. Before the half time whistle an Evan Treacy corner was taken down and superbly finished by Kevin Sheridan. The socond half started with Edenderry on the attack but after some great passing and team play Kynog were testing Edenderry Man of the match goal keeper Cain Brereton with further chances from Shane Morrison and Ryan Casey. In the 43rd minute Evan Dempsey found the back of the net. Shane Morrison was causing the Edenderry defence all sorts of problems as the left wingers speed and skill found him having some great chances. Edenderry never gave up and can be proud of their performance.
