Under 7 Kynog United V Sallins

KYNOG UNITED VS SALLINS AT 10.30AM KYNOG PARK  FINAL SCORE KYNOG UNITED 1 SALLINS 3  The under 7's lined out at 10.30am on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning. There was a large crowd in attendance with great support for both teams in what was to be an exciting and well fought game.  Sallins immediately put Kynog United under pressure forcing the Kynog Goalkeeper Owen Melia and Kynog defence Cillian Gill and Darragh Merriman to work hard early in the game. In the 10th minute Sallins broke through the Kynog defence for their fist goal of the match with a mighty score from Lee Baldwin. Kynog United immediately responded with Thomas Fallon narrowly missing the Sallins net. The Sallins goalkeeper Dylan Brosnan who had a fantastic game worked hard for his team and saved a further two goals denying Kynog United a score in the first half. Half time arrived with a scoreline of Sallins 1 Kynog United 0.  In the second half Sallins once again put Kynog United under pressure and in the opening minute Lee Baldwin scored his second goal of the game. Again Kynog United did not give up and responded with a goal from Emmett Donoghue who worked extremely hard for his team. Kynog never gave up and kept trying to break down Sallins to score and credit has to go to the Sallins goalkeeper Dylan Brosnan who was always alert and watching the ball - he made some great saves to deny Kynog anymore scores and denied Emmett Donogue of Kynog another goal when he saved a powerful penatly kick. Legs were getting tired on the Kynog side and Sallins took full advantage to take another goal scored by Cian Kelly. A great game with a lot of hard work from both teams but it was Sallins day.
