Kilcock Celtic made the short journey to Kynog Park and both teams took to the field of play eager to impress. Kynog Uniteds Evan Dempsey on his debut was very impressive making crucial interceptions at the heart of the defence. Ciaran McMahon made some impressive clearances keeping the kilcock strikers out on the danger area. Play went from end to end with both teams having chances, Kynog opened the scoring in the 20th minute with a superb strike from Brian McGrath. Further chances came the home teams way with shots on target from Shane Morrison and Kevin Sheridan with an Evan Treacy header clipping the cross bar. Just before half time Brian McGrath doubled the home teams scoring . The second half saw Kynog introduce Conor Donoghue who made an immediate impact. Shane Morrison was causing all sorts of problems on the left wing one of his trade mark runs resulted in Brian McGrath finding his cross and scoring a hat trick for his team. Aaron Eves in the Kilcock Goal was on hand to make some crucial saves as Barry Hill and Niall Gribbon were working extremely hard on the visitors defence.A great game of football played in a great team spirit from both set of players.
