On Saturday the 12th of April Kynog United took on Athy at Kynog Pitch for a 10.30 kick off.
It was a bit wet as both teams got ready for the match, and a great crowd coming to Kynog to show their support for both teams.
After kick off Kynog got straight into the game with some great passing from the Kynog mid-fielders Anthoney Farrell, Jack Gorey and Graham Berine.
Three minutes into the game and Jack Gorey shot up the field with the ball to bet the Athy defenders to score the first goal of the match.
Athy got into the game when Athy's Christian Redmond got the ball and scored a good goal nine minutes into the match.
Followed by another goal two minutes later by Athy's Cathal Mc Govern.
Kynog Defenders stepped up their game and Captain Ciaran Walsh, Steven Burke and Keith Donough didn't allow the ball to get close to the Kynog goals.
Good footwork by Graham Berine brought the second goal for Kynog fourteen minutes into the game, as did another great goal from Graham Berine four minutes later.
At half time the score was 3-2.
The second half of the game started like before with both teams trying their best, Athy's keeper Dmitriu Vizitiu making some great saves and David Ryan and Owen O Keffee working well togeather.
Four minutes into the second half and Jack Gorey stole the ball from Athy and made his way up to the Athy goal to volley the ball into the net.
Both teams worked really hard in the second half, with Kynog's keeper Catherine Fallon making some great saves and the Kynog's Owen Donnelly, Desmond Leeson and Adam Montgomery working very hard to score.
Athy's Mikas Klova and David Ryan also worked hard for their team, but six minutes before the end of the match a nice ball from Keith Donough up to Anthoney Farrell who worked the ball up to Jack Gorey found the Athy's net, achieving his hat-trick.
With Credit going to both teams final score 5-2.
