Under 10 Kynog United V Sallins Celtic

Sallins Celtic 2-6 Kynog United

Kynog’s youngsters put in their best performance of the season at Sallins on Sunday. They started strongly, pressing Sallins back and creating a number of chances from Josh Harris’s corners, and finally going ahead as Adam O’Brien scored from wide on the left. Shortly after, they doubled their lead when Johnny Byrne forced home another corner from close range, and straight from kick-off, Joshua Lee added a third from wide on the left. Kynog were completely in control and added a fourth from Adam O’Brien before half-time from another corner.

Into the second half and Johnny Byrne added a fifth with a great solo effort, while Ciaran Casey was unlucky not to add a sixth. Sallins got onto the score sheet from the penalty spot after a trip in the penalty box and the game was even for a few minutes until Josh Harris added a sixth. With seconds to go, Sallins added a second penalty with the last kick of the match to round out a match that was excellent entertainment and played in a sporting manner by both teams.
