The game opened at a frantic pace and both teams went close to opening the scoring but some great defending from Sallins and the Kynog Utd keeper, Catherine Fallon, kept the score at 0-0 : one save in particular brought gasps from the crowd as she touched a a fierce drive onto the post.

The second half saw more of the same as both sides searched for an elusive winner : one goal always looked like winning this match.Kynog went close through Conor Carew, David Dunn and Craig Harris, while some excellent defending from Reece Winders, Stephen Burke and Gerry Melia kept Sallins out.
