Woodlands Golf Club News
The first official duties
for the Captains of 2000 come with their Drive In. The captains Drive In took place on
l7th March and Kevin Reilly and Antoinette Conway took pride in using the traditional
green for St. Patricks Day in their method of transport a beautiful horse and
carriage decorated in tricolor balloons and rich green velvet. The weather proved to their
advantage with a great day of golf and entertainment along with an evening of music and a
Table Quiz. The food and drink was of the usual excellent standard. Congratulations to
Kevin and Antoinette!
The first eighteen hole competition took
place on the 25th March with great interest by all playing the full 18 for the first time
in the millennium. The Course proved as challenging and beautiful to us as it did last
year.
