Parking Dangers at
Timahoe N.S.

Representatives of the Timahoe Branch of Tir na Mona met with Liam Dunne, an official from Kildare County Council.  Their concerns centre around the dangers of parking at the school at both the start of the day when the children are finished at 3 p.m. There is major concern by all that there will be a serious accident involving the children, or other road users. As the meeting was held outside the school term, it was decided that Liam Dunne would return at a later date to see at first hand the congestion and the possible ensuring dangers to the children and indeed others. We will keep you informed of any progress on the situation.

A.G.M.

The Timahoe Branch Community Development Association are holding their A.G.M. on 18th September in Peter's Lounge at 8.30 sharp.  It is hoped that as many people as possible will attend.  This is your chance to help your own community in some way.  See you there.

Congratulations

The community would like to congratulate Michelle Cosgrove and Niall Carew on their recent wedding.  It is believed that a good day and night was had by all.

The Store is No More

It was with great regret that the local community learnt of the closing of the local store.  Many a foot has passed over the threshold in all the years that it has been doing business.  We would like to thank Owen, Angela and family for all the years of good service that they have provided to the community near and far and to wish them the best for the future.  Nice to see that they are not leaving the area.  May you have many a happy day now that you have time to enjoy them.

Leaving Cert

Congrats to all the local school leavers on your Leaving Cert results.  May you succeed in whatever field of profession you choose.  Also the best of luck to all the students who are waiting for their Junior Cert results due out soon.
