NEWS IN GENERAL

All quiet on the football front at the moment. Best of luck to Coill Dubh hurlers in the next (very tough) round of the Leinster Club Championship. Having beaten the Champions in the previous round, now having to face the Kilkenny Champs is a daunting task.

Nice to see club members Anthony Delaney, Mickey Anderson, Sean Ward, Brian Dunne (along with Tom Dowd on the "gate") making themselves available as umpires and lines-men to officiate at Championship matches fixed in our field in the last three (very cold and wet) Saturdays. Thanks Lads.

The club would like to wish Seamus Aldridge the best in his new position as Leinster Chairman.

Dan Lane and Frank Kilcoyne still doing trojan work with the Under-age group. More help is needed.

The out-going committee would like to thank everyone for their help and co-operation through-out the last year. The committee would urge every club member and intending member to come to the A.G.M. to express their views and maybe become more and more involved in the very difficult job in running our club nowadays. With a new Chairman to be elected and other difficult issues cropping up, your attendance is vital.
