It has come to the attention of the Mona Committee
that there are a few in the community who do not receive the newsletter promptly. We take
this opportunity to apologise for the delay and explain that once the newsletter has been
published and divided between the 4 areas, we heavily rely on the good-will of our
neighbours to distribute to the surrounding houses. Please understand that the
newsletter is delivered free of charge, in their spare time. Plans are afoot to put
the newsletter together sooner, so that delivery can take place at the beginning of the
month. The Kids Page this month is from the children of Tiermoghan National
School. Well done to all concerned for the very hard work done and thank-you to the
Teachers for all their help.
March sees
a Newsbox going into Coill Dubh National School, for the April issue. May issue will
be open to all the children, from all the schools. This month also sees the start of
a new Housing initiative. On the 15th March at 8.30pm. in the Tir na Mona Office
(which is located beside the Bord na Mona weighbridge) a meeting will be held to gauge the
interest in a Housing Co-op. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested,
to go along and find out more or indeed even become involved. Housing in Kildare has
become very restricted and with the housing lists becoming longer and longer, now seems
the right time for local communities to become involved in housing in their own area.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish all in the community a very Happy
St. Patricks Day.
