We can all do our bit to reduce the amount of waste produced in our area. With a little thought the amount of waste we send to landfill sites can be reduced. All the following materials can be recycled :

  • GLASS - All glass bottles and jars - brown, green and clear.
Just rinse them and remove the lids. The label can be
left on. No broken glass, Pyrex, cookware, mirrors,
    windows, light bulbs or ceramics.

  • PLASTIC - Plastic bottles such as milk, soft drinks and mineral
bottles, detergent containers and shampoo bottles.
Just rinse and remove the caps. The labels can be
left on. No yoghurt pots, polystyrene, plastic bags or
    dairy product tubs.

  • CANS - All food, pet food and drink cans. Just rinse - no need
to remove the labels. No aerosol cans.

  • PACKAGING - Milk and fruit juice cartons (flattened please), boxes
packets such as cereal boxes. No newspaper or
    magazines please.

Kildare County Council provides a collection service for all these recyclable materials in several locations around the county with the assistance of Kerbside Dublin.
